The cold wet weather has an effect on our mood and in
fact our joints too. 4 in 10 adults wish for leave Britain for sunnier climes because they say
the country gloomy weather is awful for Health.
Millions of people say cold, damp weather is having bad reason on their joints, leading to daily pains
and aches.
A poll of one thousand people aged between 35 to 75 all with joint Health trouble , were questioned about their experience with weather related joint issue.
An awesome 72 per cent of respondents said they suffered more from
joint problems such as stiffness and discomfort because of weather.
More than half believed joint problems increased during cold period,
followed by wet weather, damp weather and frosty, cold weather, according to
joint health brand Regenovex.
The most ordinary symptoms trigger by poor weather were stiffness,
discomfort , trouble in getting up when seated, climbing stairs and moving commonly.
Other problems included bending, down getting out of bed and
exercising.
Dr Emma Derbyshire, said Joint
discomfort and joint health issues are a huge problem in the UK with millions
of us struggling in silence when they needn’t.
The survey make that knees are the parts of body most awful affected by poor weather,
followed by the back, fingers, hips, hands and neck.
1 in 3 people said they raise with joint pain and did not take any
further action, 1 in 7 would take over the counter pain killers and 12% would
take a hot bath.
Just 5% would consult their GP or pharmacist. While 4 in 10
of those polled has considered moving to a warmer country because of their
joint problems, 1 in 9 are actively contemplating relocation.
around ten million Britons suffer from osteoarthritis and many
more have un-diagnosed joint inflexibility, which increases with age and frequently
affects women more than men. People with joint health problems frequently
complain that cold and damp weather affects their health.
